A person-centred approach

We offer full residential care for people who have dementia.
We offer full residential care for people who have dementia. At Pinhay House we take a person-centred approach, as the impact of dementia on each individual’s life is subtly different.

This means:

tickWe develop an individually tailored Care Plan for each resident

tickOur activities’ team spends one-on-one time with each person, helping them enjoy an hobby, or simply just chatting to them

tickWe will try, wherever practicable, to incorporate an individual’s favourite foods into our menu planning

Living well with dementia

We believe it is possible to continue to live well with dementia. At Pinhay we give residents a measure of independence, through helping with everyday tasks and involvement in our activities’ programme. Keeping healthy through exercise and nutrition is vital, and our home-cooked food plays a key role in this.

Pinhay House’s tranquil ambience makes our home ideally suited to dementia care. The peaceful surroundings, coupled with our staff’s sensitive approach, may explain why families of new residents often observe an improvement in their loved one’s quality of life once they settle at Pinhay.
