Last weekend we had “Stir-up Sunday”. This is an old tradition introduced in the Victorian times when families would gather and stir-up the Christmas Cake or Pudding.
We had a lovely afternoon mixing all the spicy ingredients for our Christmas cake. Every resident had a stir and made a wish!
The cake will be carefully stored and fed Brandy every week!
Just before Christmas it will be covered with marzipan and iced……………..then eaten!
