A fun afternoon was had by all on Tuesday 30th of September with our “Ready Steady Cook” fundraiser!
Pampered Chef rep Nikki came and helped us organise two teams to take part in the fun of the Ready Steady Cook Challenge. The two teams, Ana and Adam the “Green Peppers” and Jimmy and Freddie the “Red Tomatoes” had the challenge to see who could cook the best savoury pastry ring in under an hour!
The audience made up of residents, residents family, staff and visitors voted the red tomatoes (Jimmy and Freddie) as the winners.
The teams used Pampered Chef cookery products during the challenge to help them make their pastry rings. Afterwards there was the opportunity for people to purchase the Pampered Chef products if they wished. The profit from these sales meant that £60 worth of cookery products could be purchased for the Pinhay’s “Cookery Club”.
A fun afternoon was had by everybody and the delicious savoury rings were served for supper!
